2 Latest Features For Mobile Phones

June 11th, 2009 No comments

Every day phone technology breaks new boundaries. It was not so long ago that games were the latest thing for phones to have and decent camera phones have only been with us a few years.  Some argue that the phone companies have access to the technology long before we will ever see it, but release new updates every now and again to keep us upgrading.  This may be true but it is still the case that phone technology is moving forwards at an alarming rate and it’s amazing how much Habia cable they are now stuffing in those little boxes. So what can we expect from the next generation of phones?

Projectors. Rather than squinting at a tiny phone screen, how would you like to watch movies on your mobile movies on a 50″ display? Well the latest phones are offering just that and include a powerful built-in projector using beacon lights that can be used to project any image visible on the screen. The most commercial phone to offer this is the Samsung I7410. Which will be out in the US and UK soon. There is even takes of a newer version that uses new Hellerman Tyton technology that projects HD images

Friend location. If you would like to know where you friends are at all times that Apple might have the application for you. They have recently launched a new service that will link you to all your friends who have the same technology and show you on a map where they all are. Thankfully you have to sign up to this service to use it so people cannot just start stalking you, although you may always want people knowing where you are even if you did sign up for it.

Get The Communications Job Of Your Dreams

Given the fact that there are so many different types of resumes that you can choose from it is not surprising that many people need help in writing resumes. Learning how to choose the right formats for resumes can be a critical part of the resume writing process.

When choosing which resume will work best for your needs you need to give some thought to your work history. Consider whether you have a work history that is long and established or whether your work history contains gaps. If you have a long established work history, then usually a chronological resume format is the best thing to choose. This resume type will point out your most important strengths, including your work history.

If your work history is somewhat short and you have some gaps in your work history then a functional resume format would often be the better choice. Functional resumes give you the opportunity to focus on your skills rather than your experience.

If you cannot tell still what format would be best, a good way to sort it out is to write down all the jobs you have had over the last 10 years. Look at all the dates together and see if they overlap or there are a bunch of gaps in the dates. This can help you to not only structure your resume accordingly but will also give you a good idea of which resume formats will work best.

Once you have decided which format will work best for your situation, it is then important to focus on some key elements that are important in writing resumes. In any resume you write and plan to submit, you need to make sure you are completely honest. While it can be tempting to embellish your resume, you should be aware of the fact that most employers check up on the information that is presented in a resume and will toss aside resumes that prove to be untruthful. Falsifying information to fill up your resume will not help you in any way. Using false information to land a job is never a good idea because should that information be discovered, most likely you will be fired from that job.

Wearing Funny Tees Can Send A Message

May 26th, 2009 No comments

It has been said for years that what you wear lets everyone know who you are. The ‘clothes make the man’ is a common saying.

But what about when someone is trying to let people know that he is humourous, or witty? If you do not want to dress like a clown, then the best way to send this message through fashion, and the easiest way is by wearing funny t shirts.

One of the best reasons for doing this is that you don’t even have to create your own t shirts because there is a massive industry dedicated to tees with funny messages. It’s easy you just need to find a t shirt that appeals to your personality and wear it.

Many people put a lot of emphasis on what others are wearing, therefore funny t-shirts are a good way to start a conversation with someone. You will instantly have something to talk about because they will be amused and interested in what you are wearing – and this is turn could make them more interested in you.

And most will like that you are brave and confident enough with your fashion sense to wear such garments. If they are like you, then they will appreciate your funny side.

Another reason why wearing a funny t shirt sends such a great fashion message is because these shirts appeal to so many different people. You do not have to be a college graduate to wear them. They make shirts that are great for husbands who want to send a humourous message to his wife, or vice versa.

There are shirts that appeal to teenage humour while others are more for people who in their 20′s and 30′s who deal with office politics on a daily basis. Although they probably cannot wear them to the office, it is a great way to distance yourself from the office after hours.

Wearing funny t-shirts is also is a great way to attract members of the opposite sex, as they are great to wear out at night because people will notice them and start talking to you.

If they get the message you are trying to send, then half your work is done.

If they do not get it, they probably will not talk to you. Although this is fine as you want to be with someone who gets your humour. Most can be able to tell just by seeing you what kind of person you are, as you will be sending both a witty and creative message for everyone to see.

Get Ready for a Huge Bill When Calling Your Insurance

May 26th, 2009 No comments

No one wants to make a call to their insurance firm simply because we know that we are going to be on hold for hours upon hours, a lot of folk have had a bad experience with calling a company up that they have signed an agreement with.

I mean if you call up the sales department they will answer your call straight away because they simply do not want to miss out on business. But if you then try to ring the support team they will end up keeping you on hold forever.

Well what occurred to me was that I had to ring my insurance firm to sort out some incorrect details on my policy, so I sat down one afternoon and rang the number. I was quite shocked to be honest as it was sort of a premium rate numbers and when I called the sales line it was a free phone 0800 number.

Well after around 15 minutes I still had not managed to get through the automated service. Five minutes later I got through to the line, but no way was anyone going to answer. They literally kept me on hold playing me shocking music for around an hours and when the call was finally answered the issue was resolved within five minutes.

I was quite angry, I was really annoyed when my bill came through because I got slapped with a huge bill. I just could not bring myself to call them because I would of ended up getting slapped with another bill. Why are businesses during the economic downturn not offering 0800 numbers, because when I renew my policy I am going to find one that does.

If You Dont Get an 0800 Number Then You are Missing Out

May 26th, 2009 No comments

As we all are aware we are in the middle of a huge economic downturn. This has simply resulted in big companies cutting down on the call centre staff that they employ. Only recently Sky was featured on the BBC channel Watchdog, the main complaints were against their call waiting times.

People are just too busy in this day and age to spend all their free time on the phone. They want to be able to call up and speak to someone straight away, but that is not happening with companies at the moment. There are two things that companies are doing these days:

1) They make it so hard to actually get through to a human being, they have so many options to choose from and if you end up choosing the wrong one they briefly give you a message and then hang the phone up on you, which can become extremely annoying.

2) The worst thing is when you do actually get through the automated section then you will probably be on hold for hours.

This is one of the main reasons as to why the company Sky were investigated by the Watchdogs. Numerous times the company let people hold on the line for upto 3 hours. I do know that businesses are finding it very difficult at the moment, but they need to pull something out of the hat before they all leave. The way around this would be for companies to get a freephone 0800 number, the reason behind this is because they could then actually show their clients that we want your call, we are just busy at the moment but if you stay on hold we are willing to pay for the entire wait.

Mobile Phones By Motorola

May 26th, 2009 No comments

Motorola is a company that is known throughout the world for its innovation in communications. It develops technologies, products and services and has made owning a mobile phone entirely possible for almost everyone. Motorola has great networks, including one of the best communication structures. Motorola is a Fortune 100 company that has sales and recognition worldwide.

Some of Motorola’s mobile phones are equipped with accessories like text messaging, email, SMS, access to the Internet, Bluetooth, camera with video recorder, MMS that will send or receive photos and video, MPS player, radios and even GPS.

Motorola was the first company that came on the market with mobile phones. In 1983 it introduced the Motorola DynaTac and was the first approved mobile phone by FCC in the United States.

From the first mobile phone in 1983 until the early 1990’s mobile phones were simply too large to be placed in the pocket or even carried around. You probably remember the big phones that looked more like the walkie-talkies used in the army. During this time they were mainly placed in cars. Due to the towers that gave signals, there was a tower to tower transmission of signals. Motorola introduced the Motorola Micro TAC in the early 1990’s, which was the first phone to employ the miniaturization of digital components, and developed more sophisticated batteries for longer operation and built smaller to allow the mobile phones to be portable. Since then the mobile phones have become increasingly smaller and much lighter.

Today Motorola mobile phones have come so far in technology that they are mini computers that will do almost anything a personal computer will do and more. Some are equipped with touch screens and full keyboards. The applications being installed in the mobile phones can help you find your way with the built in GPS, Global Positioning System, to writing emails and text messages with ease. They have games and access to the Internet to find anything you are looking for at your fingertips.

In early 2009, Motorola Inc. introduced a couple of new mobile devices that will have a major impact on the social connectivity. Take in example the MOTO W233 Renew, a mobile phone made out of recycled plastic. The fact that it’s made from recycled plastic might not add to its functions but we can at least say that some progress has been made while we look at our environmental behaviour.

Another mobile phone released by Motorola is the MOTOSURF A3100. This device is a touch tablet with high-speed and a home screen which is fully customizable. Both of these new mobile phones were introduced to the world in January at the 2009 International Consumer Electronics Show held in Las Vegas.

If you are in the market for a mobile phone and have specific needs it would be wise to look into the Motorola mobile phones that are being made today and compare all of the accessories and features to get the mobile phone that best fits your needs.

An Overview Of The Advantages Of The Bluetooth Wireless Headsets

May 26th, 2009 No comments

Bluetooth wireless headset

There are times when it is just something you gotta do, like talk on the phone while also taking care of other tasks at hand. With busy lives and so much to do, it is even more important to be able to multi-task, and Bluetooth wireless headsets are a great tool to help you do just that.

Bluetooth headsets are hands-free, wire-free devices that you simply attach onto your ear. This gives you the freedom to take care of other important tasks, such as using the computer, doing the dishes, driving the car, or anything else that is better done with both hands, yet still allows you to carry on a phone conversation.

Most of the time, Bluetooth wireless headsets are used in conjunction with Bluetooth enabled phones so that you can use your cell phone, hands-free and without annoying wires. However, you can also use your Bluetooth wireless headset to connect to a computer is that is Bluetooth enabled. This can come in especially handy if you use a VoIP system for phone calls or for video chatting.

The popularity of Bluetooth headsets has continually increased since they were first introduced. They have proven to make people’s lives easier and more productive, not to mention safer, when it comes to being able to drive with both hands on the wheel and still have a clear conversation via your cell phone.

Bluetooth headsets are also being designed to be more stylish and in some circles, could even be considered a fashion, or at least a technology statement. If you are ever in a store or an airport or waiting in line at the movies and see someone who appears to be talking to themselves, it’s a good bet that if you could catch a glimpse of the other ear, you would see their Bluetooth wireless headset.

Another advantage of wireless headsets over their wired predecessors, is that this mobile wireless technology also delivers crystal clear quality of sound. In addition, you can use your Bluetooth enabled headset to use all of the voice activated commands that are available in your Bluetooth wireless phone. This makes it easy to send, receive and even make phone calls from your cell phone even if it is stowed away in a purse, pocket or briefcase, as long as your Bluetooth phone has functions that can be voice activated.

When you are considering which of the available Bluetooth headsets is best for you, there are a number of different features that you should check out. Since there are so many choices, a Bluetooth wireless headset should have just the right compliment of functions that you require.

One of the first things you will want to check on in a wireless headset, is the range of the device. The range will vary somewhat depending of the version and the power class. In most cases, a Bluetooth wireless headset will be able to connect to other Bluetooth devices within a range of about 30 feet.

Active noise reduction (ANR) is an important feature to look for in a wireless headset. ANR headsets use a specific technology that is able to reduce the ambient noise from your surroundings. This is especially helpful in improving your conversations while you are on the road or anytime you have a lot of background noise.

Other common features on Bluetooth wireless headsets are things such as: Digital signal processing (DSP), which helps overcome background noise by adjusting the listening volume automatically; LCD displays which provide easy access to various features and which provide caller ID functionality; ringtones or vibration functions to alert you of an incoming call if your cell phone is tucked away elsewhere. In addition to these and other features and options, you should also be sure to compare the expected battery life of the Bluetooth wireless headset you are considering.

Are House Phones Needed Anymore

May 26th, 2009 No comments

Not so long ago the first landline phones were released, these phones used finger dialling and they took the world by storm, people were able to communicate with people in other countries. But as everything these phones started to develop calls got a lot clearer and we could call overseas destinations for a lot less.

But then game the production of mobile cell phones, these caught on like wild fire and now in this current day and age we are seeing kids as young as ten years old using mobile phones. The technology in mobile handsets are just developing so fast, they now allow us to connect to the internet as well as capture images and videos. The calls are also getting a vast amount cheaper and you will be able to get signal from almost anywhere.

Do we actually really need landlines anymore? This question has two answers, which are both yes and no, so lets have a look at the reasons why
1) Initially businesses will always need land line telephones, they will need these to transfer calls, track calls and do a lot more. Although mobile phones are great I do not think they can be used for business reason.
2) On the other hand are landlines really needed in the home anymore? I mean mobile phone calls are getting a huge amount cheaper so why get a landline? The thing about landlines is that they only work in specific locations you cant be too far away from the hand unit if you are using a cordless set otherwise the signal will go, besides that they always need charging otherwise their batteries will die.

In the end only time will tell what is going to happen in the forever advancing technological world. Lets wait to see what happens in the next few years.

High Speed Rural Internet Providers

May 26th, 2009 No comments

Finding Rural High Speed Internet can be a big challenge for most. Thanks to growing technology you now have several options when it comes to internet service that is high speed in a rural area.

Many of us love to live in rural areas.  The people are kinder and the fresh air is great. While it can be hard at times to live in a rural area, the trade offs make it worth all the while.

One of the major downsides of living in a rural area has always been you not being able to find a high speed internet provider at a decent cost. When you first got internet access you could deal with the slower speeds because you thought you would only have to get on once every few weeks, now you need it more then ever before and it's time to make the switch.

Checking the futures market is a must for many rural farmers and I know all to well that most forms have to be filed online now a days.  It’s nice not having to deal with all the paper work but waiting for the internet page to load is just like watching the corn grow.

If you are looking to find a solution with out putting a huge dent in your pocket then I would encourage you to check out this High Speed Internet site.  There you will find a nice list of internet providers for any were in the USA.

Here are two great options if you live in a rural area.  The first is High Speed Satellite Internet Access. I know you most likely looked into this option a few years back and said there is no way you are going to pay a few hundred bucks a month for internet access. The one super nice thing is now you can get high speed satellite servicce for as little as 35 bucks a month.  The really nice thing about going this route is you can install a wireless router and have internet service on every computer in the house.

Another great option to consider is getting a USB broadband service.  This does not work in all areas but on the high speed internet sight mentioned above you will be able to see if it does work in your area.

Bresnan Digital Cable Information

May 26th, 2009 No comments

Bresnan cable is a big player in the Western part of the United States. Bresnan serves many areas in Montana, Wyoming, Utah and parts of Colorado as well. Of course, most of this part of the country is fairly rural in nature, so satellite TV companies are very popular as well. Lets take a look at Bresnan cable and what they have to offer.

Bresnan basic cable packages are usually in the price range from $65 to $$75 per month. That is the normal price, which often is reduced during the first year with certain promotions. That is also without any drop in price for having additional services like high speed internet or digital phone.

Bresnan cable with Digital Value Plus On demand comes in five different flavors. Those are Digital Classic ,Digital Classic Plus, Digital Value, and Digital Premier. These packages all include one digital converter box and a remote control. You can of course get additional Bresnan digital converter boxes, you just have to pay $5.99 per month. This fee is about the same no matter which cable TV company or even Dish Network or DIRECTV would charge. Overall, the basic channel lineups are the same in the Bresnan digital cable packages, just expect to pay more depending on the number of premium movie channels like HBO that you want.

When matching up satellite services with Bresnan cable you can see that satellite television pricing is slightly lower when considering the regular monthly rate charged. With satellite TV you get some nice benefits, like the time saving digital video recorder devices given out by Direct TV and Dish Network. Subscribers also have access to some of the exclusive sports packages at least on DIRECTV like the NFL Sunday Ticket, and the NASCAR Hotpass package, if you are willing to pay extra.

One area Bresnan cable has an advantage in over Direct TV is in their On Demand platform. Cable TV operators across the country have invested billions of dollars in their on demand platforms. These allow customers to start watching a program on their own schedule. Satellite TV companies have begun offering their own on demand programs, but they are reliant on broadband internet connections, something difficult to find in many rural areas.
