LG Extravert (VN271) Verizon Wireless Mobile Phone Review/Look

April 11th, 2012 25 comments

LG Extravert (VN271) Verizon Wireless Mobile Phone Review/Look Note: I will do an 2nd video titled as an update for how the phone performs including the battery. So my mom had decided to open a 3rd line with Verizon for just an extra a month added to the bill, we decided to pick the Extravert as it does have a touch screen and seems to be well equipped. It was Free at Costco and also Free at many other mobile stores. You still have to pay Taxes on the price though, Activation does cost – but can be waived depending on the store. Anyways the phone so far seems to perform great with a nice stylish look to it. The touch screen is fairly smooth and responsive, calling is very clear and loud (depends on your area though). As we don’t text I can say much about it, but the full QWERTY keypad has a smooth and flat feel to it with minor bump and decent look. So this phone to me is very similar to the Cosmos Touch which I believe is the same phone just with a different exterior. Overall it’s a very basic and decent looking/feeling phone that doesn’t require a data plan. Uses basic Verizon wireless interface and is remember a CDMA phone so No SIM card. You do have options to get a Data plan to use the mobile web or perhaps Facebook or similar. Do remember on these feature phones Web capabilities are limited. If you have any questions or comments feel free to let me know! I’d like to hear from you!! Thanks For Watching!!!

Death of Privacy: ‘Your cell phone Big Brother’s best friend’

March 19th, 2012 25 comments

Personal data being gathered on the worldwide web means bigger profits for the private sector and is also being shared with the police, argues Steve Rambam, founder and CEO of Pallorium Inc., an international online investigative service. At a time when electronic gadgets and hi-tech innovations dominate our lives, violating privacy and mining people’s personal data is easier than ever. The damage that this 24-hour surveillance could do to society and its freedoms is overwhelming. RT on Twitter: twitter.com RT on Facebook: www.facebook.com
