I was wondering if I will be charge if I text my friends from my computer, not my phone using yahoo messenger.

I am trying to send a message to a friend of mine on his phone from my computer. Yahoo doesn’t cover that for Jamaica, so how else will I be able to?

When I typed my friend’s phone number it alwats says " cannot send an sms to this number " how can I check that the numbers are supported by yahoo or not.. how should I type the phone number ? and it’s free,isn’t it?? plese help me

I have recently decided to get Skype, and whenever I type in my email address, it says it is invalid.
I have both yahoo and hotmail accounts and neither of them worked.

I want to use PC to PC video calls (domestic). Are they free? I downloaded the latest version of Yahoo Messenger. And how do I actually go about it? I thought I put up all the right connections and settings but I could only see myself on the webcam.

Hello. As the new cheaper 3g iphone is coming out I have heard that text messaging is not bundled with it in the data plans. I was wondering if i could use the free yahoo sms text messaging that is available on the web on here. I mean since this is on the internet and the iphone has access to the internet, couldn’t i just text for free on the web with the iphone?

My friend has been texting me through his Yahoo account.
My family uses Alltel and we have the Unlimited texting plan, so will it still cost to receive the SMS messages?

I’ve been using Yahoo Messenger’s Voice feature to dial-in to toll-free conference calls. Invariably, the call gets dropped after 30 minutes every time. Is there a limitation to the length of time I can use for toll-free calls. Please don’t tell me it’s the internet connection, because it’s happened at least a dozen times at the 30-minute mark…every time.

I’m thinking about using skype. I know when i use Yahoo Web cam or any instant messenger i can take that persons picture and save it to the computer. Can Skype do the same? Can the person you are talking to record and or save conversations also?
