I’m looking for a free site that allows me to chat with someone cell phone over the internet and receive their message or response. Please help.

How about almost free? You can check out http://www.live-chat-to-text.com Once you have this application you can add it to any site, blog, facebook, myspace etc and people can click on a box that will allow you to send them a text message and they reply back to your computer. You don’t need to know their phone number or carrier or anything like that. Nothing to download either. Great application. I also added it to my email signatures and people can text my phone from a link in my emails.
If its someone you text on a regular basis you can just bookmark the chat link and open it whenever you need to send a message.
